These horses were part of the National Folklife Festival in Butte MT in 2009. One had been in a cutting horse demonstration; during the second demonstration, his buddy was in the same arena to help calm him. Kept in corrals behind where I lived, I got to photograph these two horses who clearly were extremely close. I later learned from their owner that they were brothers several years apart in age; he said if one were to die, the other one would soon follow.
